Get ready to be electrified! TEDxFargo 2026 is here to ignite your passion and spark a movement. But here's where it gets exciting: this year's theme, 'Charge,' isn't just a word—it's a call to action, a challenge to harness momentum, energy, and the transformative power of ideas in motion. And this is the part most people miss: it's about taking control, stepping into the unknown with boldness, and energizing everything around you.
Announced on Tuesday, February 3, TEDxFargo 2026 is set to return this summer with a bang. Scheduled for July 29 and 30, the event will once again take place at Brewhalla, replicating the successful two-day format introduced last year. Gone are the days of a single-day event at the Fargo Civic Center—this expanded structure allows for a richer, more immersive experience with distinct programs each day, giving attendees the flexibility to choose one or both days.
But what does it mean to 'Charge'? According to the organizers, it’s about more than just energy—it’s about intention. It’s about fueling the right ideas, amplifying the right voices, and turning momentum into tangible impact. As the press release boldly states, 'To CHARGE is to claim your agency, to run boldly into the darkness, and to electrify the world around us.' This year, TEDxFargo invites you to explore what happens when you generate your own energy and lead with clarity, conviction, and purpose.
The lineup for 2026 is already shaping up to be unforgettable, featuring a diverse array of speakers from across the region and beyond. Among the confirmed speakers are Ryan Muak, a storm chaser, filmmaker, and flight nurse; James Sang Lee, a four-time ISKA world champion and fight choreographer; and Pete Nelson, the Treehouse Master. Each speaker brings a unique perspective, promising to inspire and challenge attendees in equal measure.
But here’s the controversial part: Can an event truly spark meaningful change, or is it just another gathering of like-minded individuals? TEDxFargo director Liz Campbell believes in the power of the 'spark'—the kind of idea you can feel. 'This year’s theme, Charge, is about energy with intention,' she said. 'It’s a call to action: to show up, tune in, and help build what’s next.' But is that enough? We want to hear from you—do you think events like TEDxFargo can drive real, lasting impact, or are they just feel-good moments that fade away? Let us know in the comments.
Looking back, last year’s event under the theme 'Thread' was a resounding success, featuring nearly 40 speakers and performers over two days. Highlights included The Minimalists and the father-daughter duo Tom and Emily Whitehead, who wove connections and inspired attendees with their powerful messages. This year, TEDxFargo aims to build on that momentum, pushing boundaries and challenging participants to lead the charge in their lives, work, and communities.
Tickets are available now on the TEDxFargo website (https://tedxfargo.com/), where you can also view the announced speakers and stay updated on future announcements. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this electrifying experience—because when we charge forward together, there’s no telling what we can achieve. But the real question is: Are you ready to join the charge?
